Organizing Tip of the Week: Distractions Make Unpleasant Chores Go Quickly

Whether it’s listening to music, talking on the phone, or enlisting a friend to keep you company, find something to distract you from the task at hand.  Focusing on something enjoyable takes the attention away from what you are doing…and before you know it, you’ll be done. (This tip is especially relevant to me when it comes to sorting and filing paperwork in my office, my least favorite organizing project!)
